General terms of engagement

Your Responsibilities

  • I understand that I am beginning a course of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and that I have certain responsibilities to both myself and my therapist to help ensure the best possible outcomes.

  • I agree to attend sessions regularly and on time. I understand that I must provide at least 24 hours’ notice if I need to cancel a session, otherwise I will be charged the full session fee.

  • All sessions are payable in advance of the session via bank transfer or card payment

  • I agree to take part in between-session activities such as noticing, as guided by my therapist, and understand that doing so will help me gain the most benefit from therapy.

Understanding the Therapy Process

  • I confirm that the therapy process has been explained to me and that I understand what it involves.

  • I acknowledge that any predicted duration of therapy is an estimate only, and therapy may take longer than initially expected.

  • I understand that while the therapist may discuss likely outcomes based on previous experience, no specific results or guarantees can be offered.

Confidentiality and Data Protection (see also privacy policy)

  • I understand that notes from my sessions will be securely stored for 8 years after the completion of therapy, in line with GDPR requirements and insurance obligations. I may request a copy of these notes at any time during this period.

  • I am aware that my therapist may break confidentiality if necessary to safeguard myself or others, or if doing so prevents a crime from being committed.

  • I understand that once therapy has ended, my therapist will delete my phone number and past communication within 3 months of our final session.

Jurisdiction and Professional Standards

  • I understand that my therapist is based in the UK and that by engaging in hypnotherapy sessions, I acknowledge these sessions are carried out under the professional regulations of the National Council for Hypnotherapy and in accordance with UK law, which may differ from the laws of my country of residence.

Use of the Website

You agree to use this Website for lawful purposes only. You must not:

  • Use the Website for fraudulent or unlawful activities.

  • Copy, distribute, or modify any content without permission.

  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to users who violate these Terms.
